Critical for Success - Missouri

LHB-0002-9-6-2012

As a frequent commenter here at LHB, I'm excited about adding my name to the contributors to the site.  Thanks for the invitation, ecdawg!

Everyone knows Saturday night in Columbia is going to be tough.  James Franklin is a big, athletic quarterback exactly the kind that has given us trouble over the last few years especially with the zone read and his scrambling when pass protection breaks down.  Missouri's version of the spread will test our ability to defend the whole field both horizontally and vertically.  The big unknown is whether Missouri's defense will be able to handle the power running game and play action passing game so often seen in the SEC.  They scored multiple times with returns last week in their devouring of a Cajun-flavored cupcake, so they must have skilled people in special teams.  Finally, the Missouri crowd will be ready to give full throated support to their team in the Tigers' SEC debut.
